Lecture Series: Slavery and the Landscape at Rackliffe. Join archaeologist and Rackliffe House Trust Board member Aaron Levinthal for a discussion about the African American enslaved and the plantation landscape at Rackliffe. The presentation will include the results of past and recent archaeological investigations, as well as an opportunity for a question and answer session regarding what is known, unknown, and what may soon be discovered at the 18th century historic site. The lecture begins at 2:00 p.m. at the Environmental Education Center at Assateague National Seashore. Space is limited. Lecture Series: The Origins of the Bogerternorton 100 on the seaside of Worcester County and It's Early Settlement with Dr. Ray Thompson at 2:00 p.m. at the Environmental Education Center at Assateague Island National Seashore. Colonial Fair - Join us on the lawn for a fun-filled day of demonstrations, food, crafts, vendors, colonial games from 11a.m.-4 p.m.
