Rackliffe House

Volunteer with Us

Our docents bring 18th century coastal history to life at Rackliffe House!

Visitors can explore a timeline and view artifacts in the main house’s kitchen, spinning room, and children’s room. The experience is enriched with an orientation film and extends to the original milk house and the colonial kitchen garden, offering a comprehensive glimpse into the past.

At Rackliffe House, our docents have devised engaging interpretive activities for children, which include indoor historical experiences and traditional 18th-century outdoor games.

Tours are available from late May through October, every Tuesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and on Sundays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

We currently have openings for docents to conduct tours and volunteers to assist with gardening, media, photography, event support, and more.
