Docent Interest Meeting

Join Us From 11-1
Do you enjoy colonial history and want to learn more about life on the Eastern Shore in the 18th century? Investing a few hours of your time each month (May – October) will give you the chance to learn about this fascinating period, meet new people, and have fun while enjoying the beautiful scenery of Assateague Island.  Join us on May 12th from 11 am -1 pm to learn more about becoming a docent at historic Rackliffe House where we bring Eastern Shore history to life.
Rackliffe House, a beautifully restored 1740s merchant-planter’s Georgian home overlooking Assateague Island and Sinepuxent Bay, outside of Berlin, MD, is currently recruiting volunteers to serve as Docents.
Docents help interpret life on the 18th-century coastal plantation through artifacts on display at Rackliffe House and the grounds.
